The Senior Java Developer will function as an integral member of the team working on the complex Visual Merchandising System. The associate will be responsible for application development, testing, and documentation of all code. The associate will also interface with customers to assist in the design, testing, and implementation process.

Responsibilities:

· Must be able to code, debug and test application programs utilizing JAVA and web based programming tools.

· Must be adaptive to the use of new software aids and programming techniques as they are required or adapted in IT.

· Interacting with multi-tiered Oracle 10g database.

· Working with all levels of the business and the development team to establish, promote, and enforce architectural guidelines as well as assist in the implementation and problem resolution of existing applications and requests.

· Ensuring work meets functional and quality expectations within given timelines.

· Designing, coordinating and executing application functional tests to ensure fulfillment of business requirements, IT quality, architectural, and security standards on assigned projects. Requirements and Qualifications:

· 4 year degree in an IT related field.

· Minimum 4 years experience in application development utilizing J2EE, Spring MVC, JSP, JDBC, EJB, AJAX, SQL, Web Services, iText, ANT, Maven and Tiles.

· Minimum 1 year experience in a retail environment.

· Ability to adapt to a fast paced core project.

· Must be able to command the attention and respect of highly technical associates.

· Strong problem solving, analytical, design and testing skills with an ability to navigate technical issues, evaluate risk and possess a basic knowledge of IT architecture.

· Demonstrated track record of successful system and project implementations.

· Ability to deliver effective, clear, and consistent functional and technical documentation.

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

· Expertise in IT systems development lifecycle.
