Startups Connect with Funding Sources at 3RVF

May 5, 2011

Since its launch in 2002, the 3 Rivers Venture Fair (3RVF) held each year in Pittsburgh, is credited with helping participating startups raise in excess of $300 million in investment funding.  Startups who participate in the fair have the opportunity to make valuable connections with venture capital sources from around the country.

Applications are currently being accepted from privately held, capital-seeking technology and biotech companies who wish to present at the event which is scheduled for September 21-22, 2011.  According to Allison Finkelstein, assistant vice president of investments for TechColumbus, there are 34 total spots for presenting companies.

“This is a great opportunity for startups to make the connections that will help take them to the next level and can also provide a key network of funding sources for the future,” says Finkelstein.

Again this year, TechColumbus is a sponsor of the 3RVF.  In past years, Central Ohio companies including 3X Systems, Toobla and ClearSaleing have participated in the event.

There is a $599 fee for those selected to present before investors. For more information on the 3RVF or to apply, click here.
