State's Economic Prosperity Depends on Issue 1 for Jobs

Issue 1 goes before voters May 4.  The $700 million ballot issue would renew the Ohio Third Frontier and continue the state’s investment in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship originally passed by voters in 2005. It has created, capitalized or attracted 637 companies and fueled almost 55,000 jobs.

Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee called the vote a defining moment for the state. The results will predict more post-Rust Belt syndrome or a new age for Ohio as an international technology center.
