Summary
Provides service and support to students, faculty and corporate organizations.
Assist with the management of the externship programs and placement services operations for all vocational offering
Coordinates retention efforts with directors, faculty, staff and students.
Assist the Director of Career Services with acquiring and documenting vocational placement and retention efforts as prescribed by ACCET accrediting guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducts student advising meetings, student academic probation counseling, maximum time frame counseling, study groups, tutoring and assist with planning student events.
- In collaboration with Directors and Instructors, use LMS to track and report attendance and progress with appropriate follow up to ensure program completion.
- Meets with Instructors and Directors on a weekly basis to present and discuss student progress.
- Creates and maintains vocational student files: collects, verifies, and enters required student information in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Update the Completion & Placement Spreadsheet and Vocational Student Spreadsheet upon completion of the program,
- Contacts students who have been absent 3 to 5 consecutive days and students who are not meeting satisfactory academic progress.
- Creates certificates of completion for graduates
