B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

• 3 years experience in Systems Administration; strong Linux knowledge • Demonstrated proficiency with a scripting language; preferably Bash, Perl, or Groovy • SQL proficiency, preferably with Postgres and/or MySQL. • Ability to work well within a team • Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus

We are seeking a talented and energetic Systems Administrator to help maintain and grow our cloud-based infrastructure. WorthPoint is a small, growing company with a unique stack focused on scalable open source technologies; including Linux, Amazon Web Services, Grails, Riak & Postgres. Learn how we maintain high availability and low response times for a Quantcast top 1000 site with hundreds of millions of data points in a small team environment.

Job Description:
• Linux server administration: backups, software installation and configuration, firewall and account security
• Service administration: database, email, DNS, Apache, Tomcat, etc.
• Amazon Web Services: managing server and storage assets on AWS
• Scripting and Automation: maintenance and creation of Bash, Perl, and Groovy scripts
• Desktop support: support of mixed Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop environment (don't worry - it's a small office and most of us know what we are doing!); basic networking, printers, etc

Requirements:
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
