Systems Technician Primary Duties:

Responsible for successfully installing and configuring hardware and software for Cott Systems’ customers both remotely and onsite. Coordinates with users to determine requirements, provide precise documentation for support staff, and has exceptional customer service skills. Establishes and communicates common goals and direction for the systems portion of projects both internally and externally. Overnight travel is a key component of this role.

Key Responsibilities for this position are listed below. Other responsibilities may be assigned to this position in response to Cott's business needs.

• Oversee all phases of the Systems Build. Installs and configures Cott Systems and 3rd party applications according to Cott specified standards. Oversee the delivery and installation of all equipment to the customer’s site.

• Establish and maintain communications with the customer’s IT Department were applicable. Ensure the site infrastructure is sufficient to support all hardware and software for an implementation. Resolve Systems issues during site installation. Work with County IT to coordinate the addressing of system issues.

• Maintain open communications with all members of the Implementation Team and the customer.

• Provide Systems expertise to the Implementation Team. Create and maintain system documentation.

• Troubleshoot technical system related issues.

•  Stage and install system add-ons and upgrades.

•  Perform system audits to ensure proper licensing.

•  Perform system, network performance, and security auditing.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Degree, preferably BS, in Computer and/or Business related field and 2+ years of directly related experience is a plus.

2.  Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people with varying degrees of technical experience. The ability to multi-task, comprehend, and be responsive to customer needs while working independently and under tight deadlines.

3. Active Directory knowledge with experience working within complex technical environments. SQL database experience, installation and configuration. A working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and database connectivity.

4. Hands on server-class hardware build experience. Technical writing/documentation skills.

5. A working knowledge of desktop and server network operating systems including Windows Server Platform and Windows Desktop Operating Systems.  Familiarity with infrastructure applications including but not limited to DNS, switches, hubs, and routers.

6.  Experience with disaster recovery methodologies including hardware and software RAID, enterprise level archive solutions (Symantec Backup Exec). A working knowledge of IIS including configuration and security of web servers.

7. Capable of organizing, scheduling and planning all projects dates in conjunction with travel and estimated hardware/software ship dates.

8. Ability to physically life up to 75 pounds.

9. Solid work history and dependable attendance record.

10. The ability to participate in 50% - 75% overnight travel.
