TechColumbus to Host Bidder’s Conference on August 14 for Ohio Third Frontier Advanced Energy Funding Opportunities

The Ohio Third Frontier has announced the availability in 2010 of $27 million in investments for advanced energy initiatives within the state.  This includes $10 million for the fuel cell industry, $10 million for photovoltaic programs and $7 million for organizations seeking to commercialize new products and processes within the advanced energy industry at large.  Details of these programs will be outlined in a bidder’s conference to be held at TechColumbus on August 14, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.   Letters of intent to file a full proposal are due to Ohio Third Frontier by 2:00 p.m. on August 25, 2009.  RFPs issued include: 

FY2010 Ohio Third Frontier Fuel Cell Program RFP

Up to $10 million in grants for projects that accelerate the development and growth of the fuel cell industry in Ohio by direct financial support to organizations seeking to commercialize new products, manufacturing processes or technologies, or to adapt or modify existing components or systems that can reduce the cost of fuel cell systems or address technical and commercialization barriers; or demonstrate market readiness.  All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing via e-mail to with a subject line “OTFFCP Q&A”.

Up to $10 million in grants for projects that accelerate the development and growth of the photovoltaic industry in Ohio by direct financial support to organizations seeking to commercialize new products, manufacturing processes or technologies, or to adapt or modify existing components or systems that can reduce the cost of photovoltaic systems or address technical and commercialization barriers; or demonstrate market readiness.  All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing via e-mail with a subject line “OTFPVP Q&A”.
