POSITION: Technical Analyst / Developer
DESCRIPTION: This individual will be responsible for the migration of a BMC Control M environment into an Autosys environment. The individual will develop the technical approach, plans, coding, etc. to complete the migration and test the migration process.
The selected individual will be highly skilled in distributed technologies and platforms, and have good understanding of the operational and administrative environment associated with distributed applications.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
TECHNICAL:
- Strong knowledge of Autosys.
- Knowledge of Control M.
- Knowledge of SQL administration and development needs, Oracle, Sybase, .Net 2.0, Reporting Services, and familiarity with VBA code for modifications and break fixes would be a plus.
- Ability to design and execute the appropriate unit test cases and testing approach, including functional and regression cases
- Complete appropriate documentation (test plans, application documentation)
- Knowledge of sound design and programming standards and principles
BUSINESS
- Have a basic grasp of the core business functions
- Have a good grasp of the main system flows and functions
- May participate in the gathering and reviewing of business requirements and translating into functional specifications (FRD process)
SYSTEMS SUPPORT
- Escalate issues appropriately
- Take ownership for issues; actively seek to expand understanding of issues; follow up on resolution even when resolved by others
- Participate in post-project review when appropriate
- Follow company standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist in software and hardware setup
- Assist in ensuring that systems are not vulnerable to known security exploits
COMMUNICATION
- Communicate with team leader regarding specifications and requirements relevant to specific unit of work
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
LEADERSHIP
- Understand own role within the team and impact upon others
- Work towards common goals of the team
