Nationwide’s Individual Protection (IP) Business Development team is seeking a Technical Director for Nationwide Financial Product. Seeking individuals with 10+ years of sales, product and business development and financial services experience.Individual protection product as process knowledge is preferred.
What does the team do?
* Monitors the competitive and economic landscape and make recommendations to IP leadership.
* Strategically targets opportunity areas that have the most growth/profit potential.
* Utilizes cost-benefit analysis to enable data-driven decisions.
* Drives collaboration among the IP segment to develop new solutions that make products simple and easy for advisors and the end-consumer.
* Manages projects, processes and programs to drive change throughout the IP business segment, NF, and the enterprise.
* Builds competitive products, processes and sales solutions and support the launch of these products and services.
What will you do?
* Directs, implements and monitors business projects and project teams to achieve desired business results
* Develops, monitors and administers resource plans and budgets for projects
* Provides strategic direction to projects by ensuring balance and alignment of concurrent projects
* Plans, develops, directs and implements sales/business processes that support the business need
* Works with project and channel leaders on design and execution of initiatives
* Develops business cases that support strategic ideas.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of client/advisor needs, market needs and sales positioning.
* Identifies and supports best practices in sales processes for life insurance product planning.
* Provide sales and campaign support.
* Drive specific campaigns with channel representatives.
* Single point of contact for business development and channel representatives on life insuarnce initiatives.
* Collaborate with channel teams across transitioning boomers to deliver retirement income-based campaigns, including specific events.
* Work with sales development team to integrate retirement plan products the sales process/development program. Includes web-based instruction modules.
* Interact with relationship strategies team to identify focus firms and specific tactics to drive life insuarance income initiatives.
* Work with internal sales leaders to train sales staff on individual protection concepts and share best practices.
* Work with our income field specialists to develop enhanced retirement plan product positioning and tactics.
* Work with project teams and business units to continue to enhance technology and capabilities.
* Work with other business units (e.g. annuities, retirement plans, Nationwide Financial Network, property and casualty) to introduce individual protection products to new customers.
