Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or comparable experience

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience in managing software development projects including legacy migration efforts
• must have project management and technical management experience with SAP
• 5+ years experience with SAP Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence technology required; experience with BI 7.0 required
• strong leadership skills include initiative, integrity, ability to develop staff, priority setting, flexibility, and relationship building
• familiarity with software development practices and be a willing participant in adopting new development strategies and computing technologies.

Chemical Abstracts Service has an immediate opening for a Technical Manager in its Information Technology Division. We are looking for a hands-on leader to manage the SAP Business Intelligence team that includes legacy reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of SAP technical and project management skills. In this role, the candidate will help drive continuous improvement and infuse industry best practices into the SAP BI and legacy reporting group.

Some key responsibilities will include:

• Project Management of key department efforts, leading multiple teams
• Lead legacy systems migration projects to SAP BI, provide SAP BI technical direction
• Promote and drive the development of BI and legacy reporting systems
• Enhance the BW and legacy environments using best practices
• Drive accountability to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget using Project Management Methodology
• Develop staff members to achieve a high level of performance
• Support production software through its life cycle
• Management of off hours production support for BI and legacy systems
