Planning is currently underway for the second annual TedxColumbus event. Themed “What’s Next?” the event will build off the momentum of last year’s very successful inaugural event. TEDxColumbus, scheduled for October 22, 2010, will highlight the talents, inspirations, and innovations of those in Columbus that are thinking about the future and how to move forward.
TEDxColumbus is an independent group of volunteers that serve as a licensee of TED, a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. TEDx is the organization’s newest program which enables local communities to organize, design and host their own independent, TED-like events.
TEDxColumbus organizers have put out a call for nominations of speakers and presenters and are currently recruiting volunteers to help plan the event.
