For the fourth consecutive year, Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been named to the list of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals by US News. The list includes the top 30-ranked children’s hospitals in 10 pediatric specialties. Nationwide Children’s was ranked among the best in specialties including digestive disorders, heart & heart surgery, urology, respiratory disorders, neonatal care, cancer, orthopedics, neurology & neurosurgery and diabetes and endocrine disorders.
The hospital was ranked 7th in the nation in the area of digestive disorders.
“This recognition reflects our commitment to the children of this community and to all the patients we serve from around the world,” says Steve Allen, MD, CEO of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. “We have firmly established ourselves as a pediatric leader and with that position we tirelessly seek to improve outcomes, advance research and transform care for children everywhere.”
The hospital also received recognition last week from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) which awarded Nationwide Children’s full accreditation. The designation recognizes the hospital as an organization that demonstrates and emphasizes clinical study participant safeguards that surpass state and federal requirements. Nationwide Children’s is one of only four free-standing children’s hospitals that have earned this accreditation.
