Venture Tech NW Ohio

Rocket Ventures, an Ohio Department of Development Entrepreneur Signature Program announces VentureTech offering early stage, tech businesses seeking funding the opportunity to present to VC’s seeking great companies for investment. VentureTech will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg, OH on November 12, 2009.  Our program will include 3 panel discussions addressing topics of interest to groups of Venture Capitalists and Entrepreneurs.  Following lunch, there will be a keynote speech by an individual well known for creation of successful new businesses.  Our 16 entrepreneur presentations will be in two sessions, one each in the morning and afternoon.  We will cover technology based market areas including Advanced Materials, Alternative Energy, new manufacturing technologies, Information Technology, and BioScience.  VC and entrepreneur panelists committed to attend are listed below.

Presenter instructions for VentureTech

1.Using the VentureTech website, submit your executive summary and use the payment key to remit the non-refundable submission fee of $50 for Ohio ESP sponsored clients. Code for the ESP rate is buckeye.  For all others the fee is $100.  Alternatively you can mail the Executive Summary with your check to :

2.If you sign up before September 15th VentureTech conference registration cost is $250.   Code for the early registration is earlytech.  After September 15, registration is $295 for all attendees.

3.Executive Summaries should include the following components:

• Business Description
• The Opportunity  or problem to be solved
• The Solution
• Intellectual Property
• Market
• Competition
• Product Development
• Sales and Marketing
• Management Team
• Financial Projections
• Exit Strategy

4.Entries are to be received by August 21, 2009.  All submissions will be reviewed first by Rocket Ventures staff then forwarded to our vetting committee(s).  The vetting committees will recommend the companies to be chosen to present.  Vettors will not include anyone currently associated with the company.

5.Vetting will be completed by September 18 and all applicants notified by September 30.

6.Presentations must be limited to 8 minutes with 2 minutes at the end of each for questions.
