VOIP ENGINEER / CCNP: Exciting opportunity with a well established end to end service and technology provider in the Columbus area! They currently have a need for a VOIP Engineer to join their infrastructure team to provide leadership and expertise on a full-time basis! The VOIP Engineer will be primarily responsible for engineering, installing and troubleshooting data and telecommunications network infrastructure for multiple client customers and will work closely with other members of the internetworking team to support the company and its’ initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the VOIP Engineer:
Maintain and install Cisco network equipment.
Maintain and install Cisco UCM, Unity, and associated Voice Applications.
IP Telephony systems administration, configuration, and implementation.
Maintain documentation related to network layout.
Creation and implementation of Dial Plans
Ensure that requirements for high availability are in place for the Cisco environment.
Requirements
Education
Required-Associates’ degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
CCNP certification required, Cisco IP Telephony Specialist preferred, CCVP, CCSP preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience working in Information Systems.
Minimum of 3 years experience with Cisco routing, switching and wireless products.
Minimum of 3 years experience supporting frame-relay or equivalent packet switched technologies.
Minimum of 3 year experience installing and advanced configuration on Cisco Unified Communications Manager platforms.
Minimum of 3 year experience configuring and troubleshooting VOIP Trunks and VOIP Gateways.
Minimum of 3 year experience with Cisco Unified Messaging.
