Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop (PC)
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills
• Must be a self-starter that requires a minimum of supervision
• Must have a strong desire to learn and take the initiative to keep up with current web design trends and techniques
• Must be able to work both individually and with a team

A well established company in the Columbus area seeks an Entry-level Web Graphic Designer to join the team on a permanent basis. This person will be a valuable member of the team and pivotal to their success. Primary responsibilities include

• Create design prototypes, including graphics, site navigation, and layout of content for both external web sites and internal applications.
• Ensure the layout of content is accessible, logical and easy to navigate. Recommend improvements if necessary.
• Use computer software to generate visual concepts that match the content and/or select appropriate stock images.
• Perform maintenance and updates to existing web sites.
• Create design prototypes including graphics and layout of content for printed materials.
• Prepare notes and instructions for personnel who assemble the final site.
• Prepare notes, instructions and final layouts according to printer’s specifications.
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
