April 1, 2010
Join local business, civic and community leaders, including OSU President E. Gordon Gee, to show your support for State Issue 1 during a YES on Issue 1 rally scheduled for April 12 at 4:00 p.m. at TechColumbus. Issue 1 is the statewide bipartisan ballot measure that goes before voters during the primary election on May 4 and, if passed, authorizes renewal of the Ohio Third Frontier.
“The facts are clear, the investment is working,” says Gee who will serve as keynote speaker at the rally. “The Ohio Third Frontier program has become a national model for public-private partnerships that transform research into results, enterprise into employment.”
The rally will highlight local entrepreneurs sharing their stories of how the Ohio Third Frontier has impacted their startup efforts and success. Representatives of the United for Jobs and Ohio’s Future campaign, including Co-Chairs Jo Ann Davidson and David Wilhelm, will be on hand to provide additional information about Issue 1. Campaign Manager Matt Cox will share how you can help get out the vote and become ambassadors for Issue 1.
