Laura Thieme, President, Bizwatch Search Analytics, Columbus, will deliver two presentations, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 13 and 14, 2011 at the Search Marketing Expo — SMX East Conference in New York City.

On Tuesday, September 13th, from 1:45 – 3:00 pm, Thieme will focus on the top 10 mistakes made in Google Adwords by in-house marketing managers and agencies. The session, “In-house PPC Pitfalls: Vendors, Data, Communications” will be moderated by Jessica Bowman.

Search marketers will hear Thieme discuss ways to audit PPC campaign settings, match types, negatives, conversion tracking, geo-targeting settings. Thieme will also cover the importance of 13-month trend analysis. Thieme says, “We have audited over $250k in non-converting keywords. On Wednesday, September 14th, Thieme will discuss fast ways for retailers to increase online holiday sales at a higher conversion rate and lower cost of acquisition by covering integrated PPC & SEO tactics. The title of the Wednesday session is “Ecommerce & Retail Search Marketing Tactics.”

With the approaching holiday season, on Wednesday, Thieme will speak about proven SEO tactics and workarounds for metadata, on-site tactics that work, tricks to get newly optimized content indexed, fast ways to get pay-per-click cost of acquisition down, conversion rates up and more.

SMX East will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. Attendees will be able to choose from 50+ sessions on search engine marketing topics including search engine optimization, paid search advertising and social media marketing on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
